Our Pets
My whole family loves the pets that we've been fortunate to have. We had cows and calves, horses and colts, cats and kittens on our farm. They were always so much fun to watch and play with. We used to have a pet turtle and several parakeets. We had one special colt-her name was Baby Mae. She was 1 week old when her mom died so we bottle fed her for about 2 months. We had lots of 4 a.m. feedings. :) She was so tame, all you have to do was yell, "Come here, Baby," and she came running through the pasture to be fed or played with. Our dog is a Golden Retriever. His name is Spink.. He is wonderful around our children and wouldn't hurt a flea. Spink's favorite thing is to be the outfielder when we play baseball.
